 Grading Rubric for Physical Education

Grades 7 – 12

Instructor: Mr. Zamboni

1. Dress in an approved Uniform and Participates in class

                  15 points per class

                              5 points proper dress

                              5 points sportsmanship/ Behavior

                              5 points participation/ competitiveness

                  * Weekly grades will be recorded every Thursday

2. Proper Dress

5 points – Dress in a approved uniform

– 3 points - Missing One item of the approved uniform

-5 points – Missing Two items of  the approved uniform

3. Participation

                  5points – participate to the best of your ability the whole class

                  -3 points – If you need to be told about your participation level

-5 points – If you continue to stand around not participating 

-10 if you quit an activity (Participation and Sportsmanship)

4.  Inappropriate behavior/ poor sportsmanship

5 points- Proper Behavior and sportsmanship

-5 points- Improper Behavior or poor sportsmanship

-10 points – Continued behavior problems and poor sportsmanship

5. Measurements and distance

10 points Students will answer correctly 2 out of Three measurement and distance question

5 points Students answer correctly 1 out of three measurement and distance questions

6. Signed Grading Sheet, ten points

7. Tardy for class

1st = warning

2^nd = -5 points

3^rd = -10 points,

** Students grade is based on the student’s total points divided by the total number of available points
